Talent Show

A reminder that the talent show organised by the PTA will take place this Friday, 12th April at 18.30.  Any member of our school community can participate.  Any talent is most welcome – singing, dancing, magic, sports skills, stand-up, gymnastics, maths skills – the sky is the limit!  You are welcome to attend even if you would prefer not to perform.  There will be a five-minute time limit per act.  We’d like to get a sense of how many hope to participate in the show as well as how many will be able to attend.  We’d ask everyone, whether you intend to perform or just attend, to complete a Google form so we can plan accordingly.  Families are invited to bring snacks to share.

Afterschool Clubs

There are a few places available in some afterschool clubs, particularly Superhero Training, Evasion Games for 3rd class and up, Sewing, Lego and Arts and Crafts for Infants.  Parents can sign up with Claudia.  Most clubs will begin next week with the exception of Evasion Games which starts tomorrow.

School Lunches

While we anticipate launching the hot meals programmes soon, unfortunately there is a small delay.  We hope to commence this from Monday, 22nd April.  Apologies for the delay and many thanks for your patience.  Children will continue to need to bring a full lunch to school until then.  You will soon receive an email so that you can login and make meal choices.  Even if parents don’t login, a meal will be available for every child, but the success of this programme will be best if children enjoy what they are eating.

Parking

A reminder, as we return after the break, that parents are kindly requested to park safely and efficiently, trying not to leave unnecessary space between cars.  Parents are requested to park in the direction of the flow of traffic and to turn at the top of the road.  A special reminder that neighbours have asked that no one parks opposite the houses at the top of the road.  Many thanks for your continued cooperation.

Credit Union Quiz Final

It is with great pleasure that we announce that a team representing our school won the Credit Union Quiz Final in Category B last Sunday.  This is an incredible achievement that follows on our win last year in Category A.  This is quite a challenge as they beat out all the other under-13 teams in the country!  Congratulations to our team members who demonstrated excellent knowledge and cooperation to come out on top after twelve very challenging rounds of questions.  They have won a large cash prize for the school as well as great prizes for themselves.  Special thanks to Claddagh Credit Union for their support.
