Raffle Prizes

We are urgently looking for your support and assistance in locating raffle prizes for the Spring Fair.  Please talk to Claudia if you are able to approach a business for support.

Dropping Off and Collecting

Many thanks to those parents who are helping to make sure drop-off and collection is safe.  We’d especially ask all drivers to be mindful of pedestrians at all times.  Thanks for your help with this!

Active Flag

We were delighted to welcome Pádraic Joyce and Gareth Bradshaw to raise our Active Flag.  It was a very happy occasion for our school community.  A big thank you to everyone who helped us achieve this, particularly the Active School Committee including Vivienne, Ann, Martin and Claudia.  A big thank you to the parents who brought lovely food and helped make the day so memorable.

Green School

We are busy working towards our first Green Flag in litter and waste management.  We recently surveyed the children in the school and were delighted that 88% of children are bringing in a reusable drink container each day.  We hope to make that percentage reach close to 100%.  We also hope to encourage everyone to try to remove single-use packaging from lunches.  Therefore, the Green School Committee is trying to see how many can achieve the goal of having a lunch without any single-use plastic.  Of note, we have written to Food Dudes to encourage them to consider packaging alternatives. On Wednesday, 26th February the committee is going to visit the classrooms to identify lunch boxes that have accepted this pledge and we hope to celebrate everyone’s commitment to reduce unnecessary packaging.  Select lunch boxes will be chosen for recognition in the newsletter.
