Winter Break
A reminder that the school will have an early dismissal on the last day of the term, Wednesday 21st December. Infants will finish at 11.50 and other classes will finish at 12.00. The school will re-open on Thursday, 5th January. We wish everyone a safe, relaxing and enjoyable break!

Absence Notifications
A friendly reminder to let us know via Aladdin or by phoning the school to inform us of any unexpected absences for your child.

Jazzy Jumper Day
Everyone is invited to wear their favourite winter jumper on Tuesday, 20th December as well as bring in a small donation for Crumlin Children’s Hospital. Thanks in advance for your generosity.

Primary Schools Environment Calendar
Congratulations to Elizabeth in 5th Class for her beautiful art work featured in the annual Environment Calendar produced by Galway City Council. We have a limited number of copies of the calendar that will be available tomorrow morning on a first-come, first served basis.

Community Meeting
The Board of Management invites all members of our school community to attend a community meeting on Sunday, 22nd January starting at 13.00 and finishing at 16.00. Please add it to your calendars now. The meeting is open to all parents, staff members, children and Board members. First we will share a meal together. Then a variety of facilitated activities will take place to help us build community as well as
collaborate towards deciding goals to include in our new school plan. Full details will be provided in the new year.

Afterschool Clubs
New afterschool clubs will be organised for the new term. They will not be starting until the second full school week in January, from the 16th January onwards, with the exception of the choir which will resume on Monday, 9th January. More details will be forthcoming soon.

Assemblies and Potlucks
Many thanks to everyone who contributed to making such wonderful assemblies and potlucks this past week. It was so nice to have these events for the first time in three years in our school. Sincere thanks to the staff who helped prepare the children. A big thank you to all the parents who took the time to attend, who brought such amazing food to share and who helped tidy after each event. Finally, a big thank you to the children who made the assemblies so meaningful.

Many thanks to Eoghan, a parent in our school community
and an olympic medalist and world champion cyclist, who
visited the school to speak about his experiences. He is
