We are delighted to have worked with printmaker Aoife Barrett over the past term. Her residency in our school was support by the Galway City Council Arts Office. The focus of the creative exploration was objects. Using a variety of drawing and printmaking methods, children created art inspired by special objects of personal or family importance. This culminated in the creation of a museum featuring many of the objects and the art inspired by them. All the parents toured the museum after the end-of-term assembly.

The children toured the museum to view the various objects.
The objects were varied and included many items with fascinating histories.
