Halloween Celebration
Children are invited to wear fancy dress on Friday, 22nd October. As usual, we’d ask that children not bring anything resembling a weapon with their costume. Each
child can bring a treat for themselves. The school day will end at the usual time.

Mid-term Break
The school will be closed 24th -29th October inclusive for the mid-term break. Afterschool @ KETNS will have a four-day camp (Tuesday to Friday).

Parking
While there have been noticeable improvements related to the drop-off and pick-up, we’d kindly ask parents to park in the direction of travel, turning before entering the
housing estate at the end of the lane. Please avoid blocking the path, any driveway and the entrances to either estate to help us continue to be good neighbours.
We are particularly grateful to those families who are travelling to school by walking, cycling or on a scooter as this not only helps the traffic situation but our planet as
well. Parents are encouraged to use the Park and Stride option by parking at Cappagh Park.

Junior Infants are having great fun with the dentist office
for imaginative play during Aistear.

Creative Mindfulness Afterschool Activity
A new afterschool activity will be offered to the infants. This will be Creative Mindfulness led by Marie Fariñas. The sessions will take place over six weeks from 13.30 until 14.30. Junior Infants can attend on Tuesdays and Senior Infants can attend on Fridays, starting on 2nd November and 5th November respectively. The cost for the 6 sessions will be €30. Please register your interest by emailing or phoning Claudia.

SFI STEM Award
The school is delighted to be awarded a plaque from Science Foundation Ireland for the third consecutive year in recognition of all the learning related to science,
technology, engineering and maths (STEM) this past academic year. Several of the classes attended an online award ceremony on Friday.

Third Class recently had great fun using BeeBots to practice
their coding skills.
