Sports Day
We had a fantastic sports day, and we are very grateful to all the parent volunteers who made it so successful! The children all had great fun, and it was particularly
fantastic to see the lovely interaction and support shown by the older pupils and their younger teammates.

Everyone was active and had great fun at the Sports Day. More pictures are on the school’s website.

Tá áthas orainn a rá go bronnadh an Gaelbhratach ar an scoil. Comhgairdeas libh go léir, go háirithe Áine agus Coiste an Ghaelbhratach. D’fhreastal an coiste ar ócáid speisialta i dTulach Mhór.
We’re happy to say that the school has been awarded the Gaelbhratach, a recognition for efforts to promote spoken Irish in the school. Congratulations everyone and especially Áine and the Gaelbhratach Committee. Some committee members recently attended a special occasion in Tullamore to receive the award.

Bronze Award as a Child Rights School
We are delighted to announce that the school has been awarded a Bronze Award, the first step of a three-year programme to becoming recongised as a UNICEF Child Rights School. Well done to the members of the Student Council as well as Claire, Margaret and Ciara for leading this initiative.

Choir Singing and Pyjama Day for UNICEF
The choir recently sang at Eyre Square Shopping Centre. They managed to collect over €400 in just a few minutes and did a fantastic job. The Student Council also held a pyjama day, which raised additional funds. This means the school will be donating more than €600 to UNICEF to support their work with children and families in Ukraine and other places.

Sixth Class presented three performances of their play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare. It included several Queen songs. The children were
phenomenal in learning their lines, performing with great conviction, creating fantastic sets and truly embracing this challenging play. Well done to every
one of them! We look forward to celebrating their graduation on Wednesday.
